I research and write about ways in which theory and practice interact, particularly in education for the professions. I have worked as a lawyer. I have taught professional practical legal skills and competencies to law graduates seeking admission to the Australian legal profession. I hold bachelor degrees in arts and laws (honours), a master’s degree in professional education and training, and a PhD. I researched Australian practical legal training practitioners’ engagements with the scholarship of teaching and learning. My research draws on sociological and cultural theories, and I use a mix of qualitative and quantitative methods. I’m particularly interested in emergent technologies in legal education and professional practice.
